In conjunction with Nature Play week, Rangers will help Junior Rangers uncover treasures of the National Park using their senses along the Fyan’s Creek Loop Walk. Junior Rangers are to meet at the bottom of Tandara road which is the Boronia Peak walking trail head. The walk finishes at Brambuk Cultural Centre.

Join a Parks Victoria Ranger for an easy grade, short bushwalk that’s suitable for the whole family! On the walk explore grassland and wetland habitats and view Serendip's wildlife including kangaroos, emus and other birdlife.
Please meet at the Serendip car park picnic area. Sturdy footwear (not thongs!), drinking water and appropriate clothing are essential
Please arrive 5 minutes before schedule. The activities will be cancelled during extreme weather events.

Ever wanted to try a family bushwalk but don’t know where to start or where to go? Keen to meet new people so you can explore your local parks together? Feel like you lack the experience, know how or fitness to complete a walk? Want to find out about accessible walks? Why not join a Parks Victoria Ranger for an easy grade, short bushwalk that’s suitable for the whole family!

Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent and wear suitable clothing and enclosed shoes.

Unfortunately, this lovely bushwalk has some slopes and rocky terrain that are not suitable for prams or wheelchairs. There are no toilets at this site, so please go before you come!

Meet at the Eureka Reef car park, off Dingo Park Rd, Chewton. Dingo Park Rd is an unsealed gravel road suitable for two wheel drive vehicles. Please drive with care.

Horseshoe Bend is a serene place to experience nature. We will meet at the homestead, an original 1930's weatherboard cottage, and then follow a firm gravel trail down to the Maribyrnong River. From here it is mostly flat and follows the river in a loop, where we can spot wildlife, including many bird varieties, and sometimes shy wallabies. The walk will take about an hour.
Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent and wear suitable clothing and enclosed shoes (no thongs).
Please meet at Horseshoe Bend (at the end of Horseshoe Bend Road, Keilor). Park along the road side, then walk through a pedestrian gate, meeting the ranger at the homestead (about 200m from the gate).

Join a Parks Victoria Ranger for a family friendly 1.2km guided walk along the Heathland Trail learning about the history and natural features of this park.
Suitable for families with primary and/or preschool aged children. Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response.
Please meet at number 7. Magpie Carpark, Braeside Park. Enter through the main entrance on Lower Dandenong Road. Follow the road around until you find number 7. Magpie Carpark. Park here and meet up under the Junior Ranger flag.
This activity is wheelchair accessible. The tracks we will use are wide and flat. There are disabled car parks available in Carpark 6 – Robin and Carpark 7 – Magpie. Currently the disabled toilets are located 250m from the Junior Ranger activity.
