Proudly presented by the Kids in Nature Network (KINN) in partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, Nature Play week encourages parents and kids (and people of all ages) to take a break from screens and spend time playing outside in nature. Now in its sixth year, Nature Play Week is part of Premier’s Active April campaign.

This year’s theme is focused on Children’s voices and ensuring an ongoing dialogue around conservation, sustainability and the importance of nature for all.

Formal proceedings will then open up to free play and activities for children to enjoy.

Program highlights include:

Presentations by young champions for nature
Designated Quiet Space on the Gathering Lawn for families with children on the Autism spectrum.
Plenty of activities for kids, including building a shelter using natural materials, playing in the autumn leaves and boat making.
