In an increasingly urbanised world, the demand for Bush Kinders and other activities that connect children with nature is increasing.
Parks Victoria will celebrate the success and achievements of current Bush Kinders and promote the importance of connecting children and nature during the inaugural Nature Play Week 2014.
Free sessions of Project Wild Thing, the ‘cinema documentary about nature, evolution and the future of childhood’ will be screened at the Dunkeld Bowling Club and Coolart Wetlands and Homestead and a simple set of guidelines for educators wishing to deliver Bush Kinders on Parks Victoria managed land will be launched at the screenings.
