An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until April 19, 2015
Celebrate Corroboree at Healesville Sanctuary has been specially designed as an interactive, outdoor activity-based experience to connect children with Indigenous culture and the land.
During autumn, kids and their families can explore and celebrate Indigenous culture through a series of special activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn to weave a bracelet from native grasses, cook damper over a fire, create rock art with traditional symbols, and even throw a boomerang! Bush tucker tasting will be available and younger children can use clap sticks to merge the Sanctuary’s natural bush soundscape with their own creative harmonies.
Don’t miss the Sanctuary’s biggest celebration of Indigenous culture. This limited time-only program is free with general admission, plus kids are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays.
