This is a new permanent program for preschools at the GBG. Geelong Botanic Gardens provides an ideal introduction to Nature Play for Preschool and Play Groups. Participants take part in a 1 hour guided Nature Play session within the Gardens. This allows children to explore, discover and play while being respectful of our Gardens.
Family Bush Club runs in School Holidays and is an opportunity for the whole family (all ages) to get into the bush and play together. Little Foxes Nature Playgroup is aimed at 0-5year olds and their parents/carers. There will be nature based activities set up (including mud play, teepee building, painting, playdough etc).
The Point Cook Nature Playgroup is an informal social group that aims to connect children and their carers with nature through relaxed, explorative play. We meet each week and would love to extend an invitation for anyone with pre-school aged children to join us for Nature Play Week (and even beyond)
This event will be held during our usual Storytime. We will read a couple of nature-based picture books and children will be able to go outside in our courtyard to explore all things nature. We make sand dough and collect leaves. We might get muddy, wet and dirty
