Urban Nature Connection Family Workshop – Darebin Parklands
April 7, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm$35
You are invited to explore Darebin parklands and share your natural curiosity with us. Wander through the trees, learn some new games, practice your sneaking skills to get a closer look at animals, listen for the language of the birds, follow tracks, discover more about the plants, birds and creatures that share the city with us. Bring a backpack with water, snacks and a picnic lunch for the end. Best for primary school aged kids, but families with children of all ages welcome 🙂
Mel has been mentoring people in nature connection since working at Wollangarra Outdoor Education centre in 2010. She has been a “rewild tribe” mentor on family camps with Bluegum Bushcraft in NSW since 2014, and is excited by the opportunity to create similar experiences for families around Melbourne. When not in the bush, Mel is a healer (former nurse who now prefers to heal with food and herbs), ardent food grower, happy forager, soulful singer, bubbly fermenter and nutrient dense food aficionado.
